Foundation Repair Service Areas Around Hattiesburg

Six counties, and the ground does something different in each — which is why we group them that way rather than by how far the truck drives.

Hattiesburg Foundation Co. serves Forrest, Lamar, and Perry counties and out into Marion, Covington, and Jones. The elevation survey is free throughout with no travel charge, and the written scope is yours whether or not you hire us.

By county, and what the ground does there

Forrest County

Hattiesburg itself and Petal across the Leaf River. The county holds both floodplain and upland ground within short distances, which is the clearest local demonstration that the material under a house is not a town-wide constant.

Petal

Lamar County

The widest spread of housing age we work across: the newest engineered pads at Oak Grove, an old county-seat core at Purvis, acreage at Sumrall, and sawmill-era raised housing at Lumberton. Four different first questions in one county.

Oak Grove · Purvis · Sumrall · Lumberton

Perry County

Sandier upland ground out toward Richton, where the failure mode shifts. Sand does not cycle with moisture the way clay does, but it moves when water moves through it, taking support with it.

Richton

Marion, Covington and Jones

The Pearl River at Columbia, genuinely rural property around Seminary, and a college-town mix of family homes and rental stock at Ellisville. Older housing predominates, so raised construction appears more often than in the newer suburbs.

The same free survey everywhere

The elevation contour corner to corner, dated crack measurements, an exterior water review, and a written scope naming which sections need support and which do not. On raised housing it starts underneath instead. See what the work costs or book the visit.

Service area questions

Is a Richton job priced differently from one in town?

Not by us. The work is priced by how much of the footprint needs support, and mileage does not change that. What differs is other quotes, because travel has to be absorbed somewhere and not every company shows you where it went.

Why organise by county rather than by distance?

Because the counties genuinely differ in what is underfoot and what was built on it. Lamar alone spans the newest engineered pads and the oldest raised housing we see. Distance from our truck is not a useful way to think about your foundation.

Do you work outside these counties?

Sometimes. Tell us the address when you call and we will say plainly whether we are the right company. Finding that out on the phone costs nothing; finding it out after an hour of driving wastes your day as well as ours.

Every town we cover, and what changes there

Each of these has its own page, because the ground and the housing stock are not the same across the region. The short version:

Petal — Floodplain and upland in the same town

Petal spreads from ground near the Leaf River up onto higher terraces, and those are not the same foundation situation. Read what that means for a Petal property.

Oak Grove — Fill on top of layers

Developers here inherited ground that was already stratified and then added a stratum of their own. Read what that means for an Oak Grove property.

Purvis — An old centre and a new perimeter

Purvis has a genuinely old town core and newer development around it. Read what that means for a Purvis property.

Sumrall — Bigger lots, longer water paths

Sumrall properties often sit on more land than a subdivision allows, and that changes where the useful intervention is. Read what that means for a Sumrall property.

Lumberton — Raised construction changes the job

Lumberton carries housing old enough that pier-and-beam construction is common, and that inverts the usual conversation. Read what that means for a Lumberton property.

Richton — Sandier ground, different behaviour

The uplands out toward Richton run sandier than the ground closer to Hattiesburg. Read what that means for a Richton property.

Columbia — Distance from the Pearl changes the profile

Columbia sits on the Pearl River, and proximity to it shapes what is underfoot. Read what that means for a Columbia property.

Seminary — No neighbours to compare notes with

In a subdivision, homeowners often first suspect a foundation problem because someone nearby had one. Read what that means for a Seminary property.

Ellisville — Two kinds of owner, two maintenance histories

Ellisville carries both long-held family houses and rental stock serving the college. Read what that means for an Ellisville property.

What it means when we say we cover a town

It means the free measured evaluation happens at your address on the same terms it would in Hattiesburg — the same laser floor survey and crack measurements, the same written scope afterwards, and travel quoted as its own line rather than buried inside the others. If a job is far enough out that travel is material, you will see that number before you agree to anything.

Foundation work is scheduled, not urgent — which means an outlying address costs you nothing in response time.

These 9 communities are where we work regularly enough to know the ground before we arrive. That is the honest boundary: not a radius drawn on a map, but the places we have looked at enough properties to recognise what we are seeing.

Coverage questions

Do you charge extra to come out to the outlying towns?

Travel is quoted as its own line when it applies, and you see it before agreeing to anything. It is never folded into the price of the work, because a scope you cannot read is a scope you cannot compare against anyone else's.

My address is not on the list. Do you still come?

Usually, and it is worth asking. The list is the area we work regularly enough to know the ground in advance, not a hard boundary. Somewhere between two of these towns is almost always a yes.

Is the visit really free, everywhere on this list?

The visit is really free, everywhere on this list, on the same terms in Petal as in Hattiesburg. You get the laser floor survey and crack measurements and the written findings whether or not you go ahead, and whether or not we end up quoting the work.

Why does the price differ between towns for the same job?

Because the ground does. Each town page above explains what changes locally, and the quote follows what the visit measures at your specific address rather than an average for the region.

Tell us which rooms are affected and which are not. On interbedded ground that contrast is the most useful thing you can give us — a house where the front is fine and the back bedroom is dropping is telling us something about what each end is sitting on. Same working day reply.
